To create an account on scratch;
- Go to scratch.mit.edu on your browser
- Click “Join Scratch” in the top right-hand corner.
- Upon arriving at the signup page, you will be asked to choose a username and password.
- Choose a username that is NOT your child’s real name. This protects their identity .
- Choose a password that is both secure and easily memorable. It is useful to write these credentials down in case you need to login later.
- After this you can now use scratch as normal. Some features will be locked until a parent uses their email to verify their account. follow the instructions provided to do this.
- Let your child explore and enjoy! They already know how to use scratch.

What can my child do on scratch?
Scratch will allow your child to make Games, Animations and Apps using the power of their creativity. Weekly project guides will be shared on this platform to suppliment the projects taught in class.
